Good thing today was a slow week, or else I might have been in some trouble. I’m still working on that end of the year list goodstuff, and last night was Krampusnacht here in Pittsburgh, so I’ve been a little busy.
New Releases
Nightwish, Decades: Live In Buenos Aires (Nuclear Blast)
Live album. Kitee, Finland. Symphonic metal. Recorded live in Buenos Aires, Argentina during their 2018 Decades world tour, a tour notable for including songs not played live by the band in many years. I caught the show in Pittsburgh and it was amazing. Only complaint was that there was no opener, so even with a full Nightwish set it felt like a pretty short show.
Live videos: “Slaying the Dreamer” “Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean”
Decades is also available on Blu-Ray.
Running Wild, Crossing The Blades (SPV/Steamhammer)
EP. Hamburg, Germany. Heavy metal.
Lyric video: “Crossing the Blade”
Crossing the Blades is also available on vinyl.
Cro-Mags, From The Grave (Victory Records)
EP. New York City, New York. Crossover thrash. Featured guest guitar from Phil Campbell (MOTÖRHEAD on the title track “From the Grave”
Music video: “No One’s Victim”
From the Grave is also available on vinyl.
Vinyl Release
Accept, Predator (Music On Vinyl)
