October 10, 2025 Release Highlights:

Yellowcard, Better Days (Better Noise):
The pop-punk band releases its 11th studio effort, their first full-length in nine years. Produced by blink-182’s Travis Barker, the album’s writing process marked a change in mindset for frontman Ryan Key, who said “I started the record as one version of myself and came out the other side changed. I went in knowing I needed help. I came out of it writing songs like I was 19 again.”

Black Eyes, Hostile Design (Dischord):
The art-punks release their first new album in more than two decades, picking up where they left off with production by the legendary Ian McKaye. Said the band of the album’s instrumentation, “The instrumentation returns to Cough’s two drums, bass, guitar and sax lineup, but adds some fresh elements: live multichannel dubbing, now a standard of our shows, has been integrated into the performances, as have electronic drum triggers and samples as well as the occasional bass clarinet passage.”

John 5, Ghost (Independent):
The guitarist went for “simplicity” on his 11th studio effort, telling Guitar World, “It was all live recordings. I just started playing, and if I messed up, I’d start again from the top. So, all of these songs that you hear on this record are completely live takes.”

Testament, Para Bellum (Nuclear Blast):
The veteran metal band release their 14th studio effort. According to Blabbermouth, the album is “a battle cry and an observation of humanity’s uneasy alliance with its own creations. As technology accelerates and disconnection grows, Para Bellum sees Testament reflecting the modern chaos through music that’s urgent, sharp, and unflinchingly human.”
