May 9, 2025 Release Highlights:

Sleep Token, Even In Arcadia (RCA):
The masked metal band’s fourth studio effort is described as “a record that navigates identity, inner eclipse, and transcendence with cinematic intensity.”

Behemoth, The Shit Ov God (Nuclear Blast):
According to frontman Nergal, the Polish black metal band’s 13th studio effort is “the most refined, purest representation” of their music, featuring “eight songs that go into the fathoms of humanity, divinity, and what defiance means in an age where individuality is prized but everyone is clinging to their saviors.”

Ghost Bath, Rose Thorn Necklace (Nuclear Blast):
On the black metal band’s fifth studio album, frontman Dennis Mikula “set out to really explore some disturbing things in the lyrics, the music, and the artwork,” saying “I wanted to make something depressive with despair, lavish, gothic, grotesque, gross, and visceral as some of the guiding themes.

Peter Murphy, Silver Shade (Metropolis):
The former Bauhaus singer releases his tenth solo album, which he called “as powerful as any of my work to date.” It’s also his first solo effort in more than a decade.

Tetrarch, The Ugly Side of Me (Napalm):
According to their profile on Napalm’s website, the nu metal band’s third full-length “boasts unrelenting brutality, undeniable catchiness and songwriting mastery.”
