Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with Screams of Syrens as they’ve been spending this time being productive.
What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?
We have been consistently writing new music, recording, filming music videos, and trying to be as productive as possible! We are using this downtime to really focus on getting new music out there.
Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?
All of us listen to such a wide variety of music, so it’s pretty much anything that hits our ears in the right way!
A lot of people have been spending this time cooking including making their own bread, what food have you been prepping during this time?
One I did recently that I’m quite proud of is I made sushi. Definitely a big learning curve! But you can’t beat how fresh it is.
In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?
Lotta movies, I’m a big horror fan, so I’ve been watching some of the newer movies that have been released, and recently finished the Netflix show “The Haunting of Bly Manor.” That was a fantastic show! We are also all big gamers. For me, I’ve been playing a lot of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. One of the best games I’ve played in a while.
What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?
Listen to some good music, Skype with your friends as much as you can, and just breathe. This won’t last forever, use this time to be creative and make something beautiful! Regardless if that’s food, music, art, it doesn’t matter. Unleash the creativity! It is the best form of serenity there is!
