Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with Jeff Wilson of Chrome Waves and Deeper Graves as he’s been spending this time drinking and cooking.
What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?
Drinking and Cooking. Taking care of things around the house my day to day routine has caused me to neglect. Writing and Drinking.
Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?
I’ve mostly been listening to podcasts, Doug Stanhope’s 30 media blackout drew me in everyday. Otherwise, new Jesu and Holy Fawn’s, “The Black Moon.” I write too much music to have time to listen to alot of it.
A lot of people have been spending this time cooking including making their own bread, what food have you been prepping during this time?
Followed the trend of sourdough. We made a peanut butter porter that exploded in the basement. Spending a lot of time on the grill, beer can chicken, artichokes, lobster.
In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?
I typically only read on tour. TV: What We Do In The Shadows. Fuck, That’s Delicious. Buzzfeed: Unsolved, Worth It.
What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?
As I don’t enjoy the company of many people, I’ve been ready for this my whole life. If I had any fans, I’d imagine they feel the same. Wear a mask.
