Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with Deathnoisefrequency’s Ghassan and Ahmed as they’ve been spending this time working.

What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?
Ghassan: Working from home mostly, strumming on the guitar with my little daughter trying to impress her and convince her to join me! Lol, the good news is, YES SHE DID IT finally! She knows how to hold the guitar at the moment and strumming randomly, still awesome!
Ahmed: Well, I have been writing a lot of new lyrics for my bands, working as well, making a lot of video calls with my friends and family to kill some time especially during the night time, washing dishes, listening to music, spending quality time with my cats and finally playing football with the tennis ball!

Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?
Ghassan: Yes, I listened to Sigur ros
Ahmed: No specific playlist as most of my listening are going through the collection of CDs I own, I can names some of the albums I spun:

A lot of people have been spending this time cooking including making their own bread, what food have you been prepping during this time?
Ghassan: Sweet and pasta
Ahmed: I haven’t cooked a lot but when I did I mastered it lol, based on my wife’s testimony! I did Burger, grilled Salmon, boiled chicken and Spaghetti!

In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?
Ghassan: Frankly speaking, my daughter is controlling the TV, so its everyday’s Baby shark and Johny Johny and other kids songs
Ahmed: I love reading but for some reasons I couldn’t really engrossed, I finished 2 books, Inferno by Dante and some random book about Sufism. For movies, I can’t recall what I have watched but definitely isn’t a significant one as I can’t remember it! But I watched the TV show OZARK season 3, Dracula the series on Netflix which was a total waste of time! Space Force which was awesome and finally Afterlife.

What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?
Ghassan: Stay Home, try to forgive, enjoy the most of this life’s opportunity
As Anathema said, “We are just a moment in time”
Ahmed: Enjoy your time during the quarantine, it’s a massive chance to do things you love doing without worrying too much about the world outside, nothing will be missed!
