Metal By Numbers 8/15: The charts are showing Integrity

Posted by on August 15, 2018

Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

It’s admittedly not a very busy week here at MBN. It’s a small list of debuts without any big names. More will be coming during the month, though the big kahuna for the month, Alice In Chains, won’t show up until the very end. But, hey, while you’re waiting, why not just whine about how “Halestorm isn’t metal!” for the umpteenth time? That’s not me trying to be snide, I mean go ahead and do that. There’s a “so-and-so isn’t metal” quota that needs to be filled, and someone’s gotta do it.

Notable Debuts:

Integrity / Krieg, Split (Relapse)

A 17% boost and still only one of two bands with two albums on the charts. Also, lots of you guys don’t seem to like either band, which begs the question: who do you hate more? Greta Van Fleet for sounding like Led Zeppelin or Five Finger Death Punch for sounding like Five Finger Death Punch?
