Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

I know that country is usually regarded with disdain, and in the case of modern country there’s good reason for that. Bo Burnham pretty much hit the nail on the head regarding why it’s shit. Having said that, making a groove/melodic death metal album covering the likes of Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson while featuring guest musicians from other well known bands sounds like a neat idea. Such an album happens to be the top debut of the week, along with Immortal’s highest charting US debut yet.
