Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

I gotta say, wasn’t expecting a box set from The Mars Volta to top our debuts for the week but here we are. The Mars Volta are one of those bands that I, unfortunately, got into just before they decided to breakup. Twas a real bummer, man. Sure, we got an At The Drive-In reunion a few years ago but some of the members have teased a possible reunion. I dunno if it’s true, but at least there’s a stellar catalogue to check out in the meantime.
