Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.
The numbers for the new Ozzy album are out. As many of us pointed out in Headbanger’s Brawl last week, the fact there’s a new Ozzy album at all is an impressive feat in of itself. There’s not many 71 year-old rock stars putting out new material hitting #2 on the charts and getting wide radio airplay. The subject of Ozzy’s health has been a concern the last couple months as well, which makes it all the more surprising that he’s gunning to start another album so soon. Whether or not that will happen and whether or not we’ll see another Ozzy tour remains to be seen. For now, it just feels good to see this album on here.
