Baltimore deathcore band In Dying Arms have announced that they’ll be breaking up after a farewell tour. The band has been around since 2006, having released four albums and an EP, the most recent being last year’s Original Sin on Tragic Hero. They also re-recorded their 2011 self-titled album. Here’s what the band has to say about their end:

“Wow time surely flew since we formed this group. We’ve created memories and relationships that we will never forget as well as life long friends. It’s tough to put this into works, but this is the final chapter for IDA.

“I’m sure some of you are surprised, maybe some not. But for a while we’ve been holding onto this strictly for the fans. Sometimes that isn’t enough, a lot of us we’re unhappy with where we stand in the industry and some of us want to do new things with music.
It has been amazing ride and we want to thank all of you fans for sticking it through for so long.

“As we grew older, things changed within the band in many aspects. We hope you guys understand and will continue to jam and celebrate our music. We just released the self-titled remake last month. We did that for you guys and you guys alone. Pick up the last thing IDA will ever do.

“Some of us will be starting new projects and making plans to bring something new to this scene. If you’ve been a long time IDA fan then you know these new projects will be something special.

“Once again, this is tough but the time is now. We will be planning a farewell tour and some other cool things to finish this chapter.”
