Chances are you know guitarist Gus G. best for his recent work with Ozzy Osbourne. However, fans know that the Greek shredder has also been making a name for himself with his own power metal group Firewind even before joining Ozzy’s band. And now, with their new album Few Against Many ready for release, Firewind have struck a new distribution deal in North America.
It’s been announced that Firewind will release Few Against Many on May 22 through a new deal with DisManic, Inc. via eOne Distribution. Gus G. had the following to say about the band’s new partnership:
“I’m very excited about this new partnership! While we’ve been around for some time, North American territory is relatively new ground for us. And since the music industry is changing drastically these days, we felt we should be more in control on our new release. We are fortunate to have a great team behind us for our North American release, including Thomas Ziegler of DisManic, Inc./eOne Distribution and together with our management I’m confident that we will reach the next level.”
Thomas Ziegler of DisManic, Inc./eOne Distribution shared Gus’ excitement, saying the following:
“Gus is correct, the music industry is changing and more artists realize the great opportunity of acting as their own label, being in the driver’s seat and making decisions within a great setup of passionate distribution and marketing professionals. I am very honored to work with Gus G. and gang and I am very much looking forward to a successful great partnership.”
Though Few Against Many doesn’t come out until May 22, Firewind have already been teasing fans with new material live. You can check out fan filmed clips of Firewind performing news songs called “Wall Of Sound” and “Losing My Mind” in Athens, Greece last month after the jump.
