While Dave Mustaine is certainly busy working on Megadeth album number 15, it seems the recent Golden God winner has time for some other projects, too – like celebrating the 30th anniversary of Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good! According to a recent Tweet, Mustaine working with producer Mark Lewis on something involving Megadeth’s 1985 debut album.
“I have been working with mixer @MarkLewis720 on a special #KIMB 30th anniversary project. Details soon.”
Lewis then offered his thoughts via Instagram:
“I am beyond thrilled to be a part of an album I grew up listening too. It’s an honor and It really is coming along so killer. I’m excited for the world to hear what we’ve done with this incredible piece of metal history.”
Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good! was already remixed, remastered, and reissued in 2002 on Loud Records with several bonus tracks. The album was also reissued on 180-gram vinyl by Century Media last summer, and later in the year got the picture-disc vinyl treatment. It’s going to be interesting to see what new version of Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good! could possibly be in the works.
