Even though their self-titled debut album came out in 1994, the band just kicked off a tour where they’re performing the entire album live for it’s 20th anniversary. The album, which pretty much ushered in nu-metal, has sold over four million copies. That means that for the first time since April 1995, the band are playing the album-closing track “Daddy.” The studio version of the song, about singer Jonathan Davis being molested as a child (but not by his father), ends with four minutes of Davis sobbing. This past Friday (13) at the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas was the first time they did the song, and while it didn’t end with Davis crying, the audience could tell that they were witnessing something special.
