Rock generally gets the short end of the stick at the Grammy Awards. This year was no exception, as comedy duo Tenacious D won the Metal/Hard Rock Grammy before the televised portion of the awards started. However, instead of sticking a rock performance towards the end of the show, the awards started off with a performance from AC/DC, who did a short, two song set consisting of the title track of their new album, Rock or Bust and “Highway to Hell.”

First and foremost, yes, Chris Slade was on drums. It wasn’t like it was that big of a surprise after earlier this week, but the drummer is now back in the band. Their first live performance in four years sounded solid and confident, and they looked great and comfortable playing. The audience seemed to be enjoying themselves as well, with the camera cutting toLady Gaga, Dave Grohl and Katy Perry among others, with Perry wearing devil horns.

Watch AC/DC perform “Rock Or Bust” and “Highway To Hell” below.
