First off, Dethlehem are ridiculous. The band are a self-described RPG/Melodic/metal band from “Ghorusalem,” which is actually Pittsburgh, PA. They write songs about battling wizards, shape shifters and dragons, and perform in costume. Thankfully, the band’s high energy power metal backs up the concept. The band’s third album, Destroyers of the Realm, was released last week, and you can read about it here. You should probably watch their more or less NSFW video for “Oathbound” here as well. Regardless for such a ridiculous group of gamers, the guys know their shit about games and music, so with that in mind, we asked them to give us their top five songs to play RPGs to.
5. Animals as Leaders – “Song of Solomon”

The experimental sound of Animals as Leaders can be very dark and often fits very well with ANY RPG. Since there are no lyrics it’s easy to stay focused on whatever game you’re playing, unless odd time signatures throw off your concentration… in that case, learn how to multi-task better, fool! This song would fit nicely during a legendary boss fight!
