Is Disturbed done with their hiatus? That remains to be seen, but the band’s bassist John Moyer, who’s been playing with Adrenaline Mob recently, told his fans via Facebook page that he would not be playing with them on their upcoming handful of dates, which start on August 22nd. Only problem is that he forgot to tell the rest of Adrenaline Mob. Here’s what the band said via Facebook:
We @Adrenalinemob are totally shocked by John Moyer ‘s announcement via Twitter today that he will not be touring with us in September. We knew he had some other commitments that might have caused him to possibly pullout but we were hoping to have him on board. Obviously he’s got something else going on. We wish him all the best and he will be missed but AMOB WILL be Doing the shows… We will announce the new Bassist as soon as we have one.. Stay tuned….
Wow. Moyer’s statement simply read “Thanks to all the Adrenaline Mob fans for the support. Unfortunately I will NOT be joining them on this next run. My best to Mike Orlando, Russell Allan & AJ Pero. Have a great tour guys!” It sounds amicable on his part, but considering the band’s reaction, that could be a little one-sided. Moyer recently wrapped up a tour with Geoff Tate’s Queensryche, so maybe he’s going into the studio with Tate. However, given the fact that Device has been quiet lately and Moyer’s sudden departure from Adrenaline Mob, maybe there’s some Disturbed movement in the future.
