Slipknot earlier today posted a 15 second teaser on their Facebook page that appears to be leading up to some new music. An intro of sorts repeats a guitar-based loop, some percussion noises and a series of images including the image you see to the left. It points to the band’s website, which features a droning noise punctuated by sporadic guitar and percussion bursts with quick flashes of imagery.

There’s no release date for any music yet. In fact, there’s not even a drummer to officially replace Joey Jordison yet (although we’re hearing it could be Jay Weinberg, who’s dad is Bruce Springsteen drummer Max Weinberg and has played with Bruce, Madball and Kvelertak). We do know there will be new music out in time for Knotfest, as all ticket holders will get a copy of the album. We’re guessing more about this will come to light soon. Until now, enjoy the vague teaser!
