Something is up with Joey Jordison, as the Slipknot drummer was rushed to the hospital with an undisclosed illness shortly before the band’s Seattle show on Saturday. The video above shows a noticeably upset Corey Taylor announcing the cancellation to the crowd. The band followed up with an announcement today that all remaining Slipknot dates in August and September have been cancelled.
No one really knows what’s going on, as opener The Black Dahlia Murder’s tour manager, Karim Peter, posted the following on his Facebook page (via Metal Injection):
Well we woke up at 6am and flew 9 hours to the middle of nowhere Kennewick, WA. Got our passes, loaded in, set the gear up and sat down for lunch. Then the asst TM [assistant tour manager] came in and told me “today’s show is canceled, tour is canceled, pack up your stuff.” No explanation given
Updates will be posted as they come in. We send our best wishes and a speedy recovery to Jordison and the rest of the Slipknot camp.
