You’ve got to give it to Linkin Park, they’re not making the same album over and over again. The next single from their forthcoming album, The Hunting Party, sounds a bit rawer than they have in the past, while it’s still instantly recognizable as a Linkin Park song (Mike Shinoda rapped verse, check, Chester Bennington sung chorus, double check). The song’s already racked up over 300,000 views on YouTube in less than a day, so it’s not like the band’s popularity is suffering any, even if Sublime thinks that they might be narcing on them or they’re making a heavier album than some of their fans might be accustomed to. In short, even though it’s a slight departure from their past, it’s not likely to make too many new fans, but probably won’t alienate too many old school ones either.

The Hunting Party will be released on June 17th.
