It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Body Count, the South Central band formed by rapper turned actor Ice T. Eight years, in fact. With Manslaughter, their first album since 2006’s Murder for Hire, coming out on Sumerian Records on June 10th, the band have released a video for “Talk Shit, Get Shot.” The black and white (and spoiler alert, red) video starts out in a NYC bodega, when after reading about Body Count’s comeback on the “Hater News Network,” dares to talk shit about the band. What happens next is pretty amazing, but let’s just say it doesn’t end well for him. Nor does it for a hipster, a yuppie couple, or two “moms against metal” that have anything less than stellar things to say about Mr. T or his band. It’s a great video. In fact, we have nothing bad to say about it. In fact, it might be the best music video ever.
The band will be touring this summer on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. If you want to preorder Manslaughter, you can do that here.
