The last time we checked on In Flames’ website, it was still blacked out showing only the image to the right teasing the band’s next album. Now it looks different, but not in the way you’d expect or hope: it’s been hacked. Apparently, someone was either tired of being teased or just wanted to cause trouble. Probably both. The band addressed their site compromise on their Facebook page, stating:
We have encountered some issues regarding our online platforms. We want to assure you that no Jesterhead member information has been compromised, and our team is working on a solution right now. We apologize for the inconvenience.
At the time of writing, the site still hasn’t been fixed, so if you head over there now, you’ll be greeted with the image below. The site does indicate that info taken by the hacker(s) will be leaked, so given In Flames’ statment it’s not known if this is simply an empty threat of or if there really was a bunch of data lost. Guess we’ll find out at 6 AM tomorrow.
