Clutch are wasting no time getting back at it following Neil Fallon’s temporary setback due to major back surgery. To make up for the touring time they lost out on, Clutch have announced newly scheduled shows taking them into 2014. While the procedure Fallon underwent requires a lengthy recovery time, both he and the band seem optimistic that all will be well by performance time. Fallon was quick to Tweet positive updates regarding the surgery just a couple weeks ago. If all goes as planned, the following performances are set to go off at the end of this month.
Not to mention, if you’ve been watching TV lately, you’ve probably noticed the trailer to Machete Kills, the Robert Rodriguez-directed sequel to the Grindhouse spin0ff Machete. If you’re paying attention to the music in the trailer, you’ve probably noticed Clutch’s “Electric Worry” playing in the background, quite possibly because of the “bang bang bang bang, vamanos vamanos” chorus. “Electric Worry” is the gift that keeps on giving for the band. It’s been featured in the ad for the video game Left 4 Dead 2 and the ill-fated Jason Lee TV series Memphis Beat as well.
