As you’re probably aware by now, Metallica have a 3D movie coming out. First rumored several years ago, then confirmed last year, Metallica Through the Never is finally making its way to the big screen on September 27. And by big screen, we mean really big screen. It’s only going to be on IMAX screens – every one in North America – for a week before expanding to normal theaters a week later. We’ve analyzed the trailer, looked at the soundtrack, saw Dehann at Orion Fest and later this month, we’ll finally get to see the film. Whether this is the best concert film ever made or a curious misfire, it’s going to be fascinating to watch, and it’s something no Metallica fan will want to miss.
Now, Metal Insider is giving fans a chance to get an early look at the film. More than a week before Metallica Through the Never is released, there will be an a screening on September 18th at 7pm in Manhattan. We’re giving away 75 pairs of passes for a screening to the film. To claim your passes, just head to www.gofobo.com and enter the code MI2Q8P in the RSVP code on the right side of the screen. Once the 75 passes are gone, you’re going to have to wait another week plus to see the film. If you’re lucky enough to get a pair of passes, keep in mind that you’ll want to be there early, as seating is on a first come-first serve basis. And if you can’t make it to New York on the 18th, don’t bother entering! Good luck.
