In an interview with Syracuse station WAQX, Dave Mustaine opened up a bit about Gigantour, and we now know that a collaborator on their new album will be on the tour. Speaking about the band’s forthcoming album, Super Collider, Mustaine said that there was slated to be another vocalist on the track “Dance in the Rain,” but the singer was “too full of himself” and wanted to make them wait.

Dave did it, and I’ve gotta tell you, I think that, knowing how the two artists sound, I don’t know that the other guy is even capable of touching the performance that Draiman did. So that was awesome for us. And I was so excited, I asked him to be on Gigantour this year.

While we don’t know who the other guy is, it’ll be interesting to hear his side of the story when it eventually comes out. Meanwhile, Mustaine gives a pretty big hint about the other bands playing on Gigantour: “Each one of the other bands on there, they’re new bands comprised of a person who was a major celebrity from a really large band that went on to do something new.” Hmm, well that makes it seem obvious that Devildriver could be on there. since they have a new album coming out. Any other thoughts?
