With the announcement of a U.S tour last month, we knew it would be only a matter of time till we heard a song from Marilyn Manson’s new album Born Villain. We heard the title track thanks to the creepy video directed by Shia LaBeouf, but we’ve been promised that the album’s first single “No Reflection” would be released for some time. And thanks to KROQ, we’ve now heard it.
DJ Ted Stryker premiered the first single from Born Villain on his afternoon drive show yesterday (March 7) on KROQ. A radio rip of “No Reflection” can be heard in the video after the jump (at least until it’s taken down). While a release date for the album has still not been announced, “No Reflection” will available in digital outlets on March 20.
So how is the new Manson song? Well, if you preferred his older material over his last album The High End Of Low, then it might not blow you away. With that said, it’s got a simple yet rocking groove that will likely please most Manson die-hards. But don’t just take our word on it. Give “No Reflection” a listen (again, at least until it’s removed from online) in the video below.
Update: The original video in this post was removed from YouTube. However, it appears that the song has been posted on Soundcloud via Cooking Vinyl. You can listen to “No Reflection” (until it gets taken down) in the player below.
