Cynic fans have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming weeks. Just a day after releasing a teaser video, the progressive metal band offer the title track from their new EP Carbon-Based Anatomy (due out on November 11 via Season Of Mist). You can get your free download and first taste of new Cynic music from Season Of Mist’s website.

But that’s not the only news from Cynic. A little less than a year after parting ways with guitarist Tymon Kruidenier and bassist Robin Zielhorst, the band has confirmed their current touring lineup. Joining frontman/guitarist Paul Masvidal and drummer Sean Reinert on the road will be former The Faceless bassist Brandon Griffin and Exist guitarist Max Phelps. It’s unclear, though, if Griffin and Phelps have joined the band as permanent members or just for upcoming touring commitments.

In addition to revealing their new lineup, Cynic have also confirmed their North American touring plans. While 3’s Daniel Grimsland and Joey Eppard first broke the news to Metal Insider that they would be touring with Cynic this Fall, it appears that Anathema will not be on the tour as previously stated. Joining Cynic and 3 instead, though, will be none other than Scale The Summit. Talk about a progressive metal dream tour! You can check out the entire rundown of dates after the jump.
