Standout Moment(s):
70000tons offers a unique opportunity for bands from around the world, some unsigned, others rising in recognition, and even those already well established in their home countries, to gain global exposure. It feels less like a typical festival and more like a worldwide showcase, where each stage becomes a window into new sounds and talent waiting to be discovered. Among these “showcases” of the 2025 edition was Belgian metal outfit Fabulae Dramatis. Though they’ve been active for over a decade, they were a fresh discovery for us, delivering an impressive progressive medley blending unique twists and styles. Their performance stood out as a hidden gem, proving why they deserve wider recognition.

What is the Artist Spotlight?
Well, it’s more than a review of their performance; as 70000tons goes, each band is a headliner, and we treat each one as such, giving them their own spread, discussing who they are and what they’ve been up to since the cruise. Each spotlight coincides with any updates from 70000tons organizers (if any), leading to days before setting sail. An extensive coverage like no other.
