Tennessee thrashers Quiescent Mantis, featuring Chris Trainor on guitar and backup vocals, Jordan McKenzie on bass and vocals, and Johnny Mejia on drums, are releasing their debut album, Here Comes The Swarm, tomorrow (19th) via Exitus Stratagem Records. Produced by Yanic Bercier at WaveTransform Recording Studio, the album blends hardcore, thrash, death, and metalcore elements.

The band aims to evoke intense emotions and the thrill of discovering metal for the first time. Lyrically inspired by sci-fi films like Alien, the songs reflect everyday struggles and triumphs. The album artwork depicts a hive and the queen mantis, enhancing the sci-fi theme.

The band comments:

“With this album, it truly shows not only how we come together as musicians but as storytellers. This album is all the best elements of thrash metal and science fiction horror movies put into one single package. ‘Here Comes The Swarm’ is the sound we created to release the swarm to the world.”
