Finally there’s an occasion where it’s acceptable to use a KISS Kondom with pride. It was announced earlier this week that Gene Simmons and gang were taking part in the first annual KISS KRUISE. That’s right, KISS and theme cruise promoter Sixthman have joined forces to create a KISS theme cruise. The band will be onboard the Carnival Destiny and will be hitting the sea with fans from October 13-17, sailing from Miami to Half Moon Cay & Nassau, Bahamas. So far, the cruise will reportedly include the following:
-4 NIGHT CRUISE with Stops in Half Moon Cay and Nassau, Bahamas!
– An Indoor KISS Rock Show
-A non-makeup KISS Acoustic Sail Away Show
-Photo with KISS in large groups
-Q&A with Paul ,Gene, Tommy, and Eric on the Lido Deck
-KISS HALLOWEEN Party! (hmm, who should I dress up as…)
-Electric Performances by Other Bands (expected to be announced soon)
-Costume Contests, Krazy Onboard Activities and Theme Nights
-Access to Exclusive KISS Kruise merchandise (of course!)
So there’s the 70,000 Tons Of Metal Cruise, the ShipRocked Cruise, and now the KISS Kruise. You may get more for your buck from the two other cruises mainly because of their larger lineups (in our opinion at least). But we have to admit that the KISS Kruise actually sounds cool. Sure, everything on the cruise is probably going to be overpriced, you’re probably going to get merchandise shoved in your face 24/7, and this may not be the best place to wear your KISS face paint. But this sounds like an amazing chance for hardcore KISS fans (and we know there are still many out there) to not only see them live, but for the chance to actually “meet” their idols (even if it is in groups and for only 30 seconds). Plus, it gives fans the chance to rock n’ roll all night and party every day with fellow like minded fans…ON A BOAT! Besides, this seems like a better investment than most KISS money grabbing items (seriously, who would pay for a KISS HD TV?!).
Members of the KISS Army fan club will have first dibs at pre-sale bookings. Fans have until 11:59pm EST to sign up to receive priority. You can go to the KISS Kruise’s official website, which officially launches later today, to find out more about pre-sales and bookings.
