Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

I never really got into Static-X, but when Wayne Static died, I saw the shock that reverberated through the metal community. He was way too young, a mere 48, born the same year as my father. You don’t need to be a fan to understand how awful that is. I don’t know how people feel about this new release, but I hope its satisfying. This week also features some beefed up numbers for Dance Gavin Dance and Th Hu.
