Amorphis finished recording their follow up to 2015’s Under the Red Cloud. On May 18th, their forthcoming album Queen of Time will arrive via Nuclear Blast. The record will include the use of real strings, flutes, orchestral arrangements and choirs. The group also noted that this will be the first time that we will hear lyricist Artist Pekka Kainulainen on the album as he contributes to a speech in Finnish. Additionally, this record will be their first with old/new bassist Olli-Pekka ‘Oppu’ Laine since he replaced Niclas Etelävuori who left the group last Spring.
Queen of Time’s arrival will give us just enough time before they hit the road this Fall with Dark Tranquillity, Moonspell, and Omnium Gatherum.
