The Acacia Strain has released the second single from their fortthcoming album, Gravebloom, “Big Sleep.” It has become tradition for the band to feature a hardcore vocalist on one of their tracks on each album. Some people love it and some people hate it. Matt Honeycutt from Kublai Khan is featured on “Big Sleep” which should come as no surprise, as The Acacia Strain is very fond of Kublai Khan; vocalist Vincent Bennett even made an appearance on Kublai Khan’s song “Still Here” on their last record.
Bennett told Revolver, who debuted the song, “I didn’t even understand what the hell was going on when I first heard this song. Luckily, Matt did guest vocals and saved me the embarrassment.” The Acacia Strain fully embrace all things hardcore and this track showcases that perfectly. Gravebloom will be available on June 30th through Rise Records. The band will be on Vans Warped Tour all summer long.
