Did you ever see a concert announcement for a one-off show and wish that it was an actual tour? That’s what just happened for this show that was just announced for June 26th at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in Los Angeles. We’d already gotten a big hint that Tool would be playing somewhere, presumably in California, from show promoter juggernauts Danny Wimmer Presents. Now it turns out that they’re co-presenting along with Live Nation, and it’s one hell of a lineup. Primus, Melvins and an unnamed mystery guest will be playing, with The Crystal Method doing a DJ set. That’s basically some of the best heavy alternative/metal leaning bands of the last 20 years. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday (13) at 10am PST via Ticketmaster.

If you can’t make it to Devore, CA, which is just outside of Los Angeles, Tool have also announced a show at Hershey, PA at the Giant Center. In fact, it’s only their second date of the tour, where the Glen Helen show will be their last. In short, you have no excuse not to see Tool this Summer. Here’s the band’s dates:
