Taco Bell’s annual Feed The Broke Beat program is launching again today. It’s the fifth year of the program and alongside other genres of music, they’ve always shown support to metal bands. In the past few years, they’ve sponsored Shadows Fall, Atreyu, The Devil Wears Prada, American Speedway, Earthless, Eyes Set To Kill, Haste The Day, Iwrestedabearonce, Municipal Waste, Underoath, The Chariot, Whitechapel, and Maylene and The Sons of Disaster, among others. In fact, when Shadows Fall and Atreyu fed people at a recent Mayhem Fest free food from the Taco Bell truck (yeah, it has a Twitter), it was because of their involvement with Feed the Beat that it happened. But generally, it’s about giving Taco Bell Bucks to touring bands, kind of like a per diem. While bands like Slayer and Megadeth might not need free tacos, your band might, and submissions are now open. If you would like to sign up, do so here.
