At this point, Slayer’s videos from Repentless are an ultraviolent trilogy that seem more fitting of Sons of Anarchy or Oz than anything you’d expect to see a band put out. The “Repentless” video ended with a prison right, and “You Agaisnt You,” a prequel of sorts, showed Wyatt, the Snake Plisskin-like protagonist leading up to his prison stint. This time Wyatt is kidnapped by cops that happen to be neo-Nazis. Danny Trejo is back too. There’s a lot of stabbing, and even some entrails involved. If you were worried that there wasn’t enough blood in the “You Against You” video, then you’ll be perfectly happy with this video, especially if you like Danny Trejo and twist endings. This video is very NSFW, so you’ve been warned.
Here’s what director BJ McDonnell says about the clip
“I’m particularly excited about this third video, because we played with stylistic differences with the trilogy. Where one video plays like an action film, this third one is more of a dramatic piece. The final story takes us into a world that is especially sinister in tone, with the dark and the light colliding. The conclusion is visually cinematic and harsh, with Slayer conducting us through it all with ‘Pride In Prejudice.'”
Kerry King is psyched about the video too:
“It was a pleasure working with BJ on this project,” said Slayer’s Kerry King. “Slayer is notorious for letting the artist be the artist, the producer be the producer, and the director be the director, etc. By doing this we get a completely unique perspective that never really strays far from our own. Get ready for video three. It’s my favorite!!”
