It’s sad to keep writing about the passing of musicians and that’s been the case for past few months and someone needs to tell 2016 to chill the hell out and stop taking away people left and right. It’s been reported that former Killwhitneydead and The Demonstration guitarist Charles Matheny was found dead at the age of 31. Details regarding his passing are still unclear but Matheny was allegedly last seen on Sunday night, reported missing Monday, and his body found on Tuesday near Burlington, NC. Killwhitneydead also revealed the news on their Facebook page. The post reads as follows:

Just found out some really shitty news. One time guitarist for KWD and The Demonstration, Charles Matheny, has passed away.

I hadn’t seen him in several years, but we definitely had some fun times on that first KWD tour in 2006. A good guy is gone far too soon.

RIP.

The Demonstrations was formed by the live members of Killwhitneydead, sharing stage several times when Matheny performed with both.
