Music awards are usually focused on popular styles of music with mostly mainstream artists being nominated and some try to pretend they also acknowledge metal but usually fail doing so. That’s why, if you wanted to see metal in one an award ceremony, you have to look at those exclusive awards like the Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards in the UK (speaking of, what happened to the Revolver’s Golden Gods Awards here in the U.S.?).

The Metal Hammer Golden Gods will be held at the Eventim Apollo in London, England on June 13th. and they just revealed the list of nominees for this year, which include Lamb of God, Tribulation, Babymetal, Slayer and more. The winners will be fan-voting based for some categories like ‘Best Live Band,’ ‘Best Underground Band,’ plus many others and you can participate by going to this location.
