Miami hard rock band Gears might be a new band, but they’ve already made plenty of noise. The band’s EP, Pride Comes Before the Fall, came out late last year, and the band got an assist from Corey Lowery of Saint Asonia, Stereomud and Dark New Day, who not only played on the EP, but produced it was well. Current Evanescence and former Seether and Dark New Day guitarist Troy McLawhorn also played on “Take Away,” which we’re premiering the lyric video of today. If you’re a fan of any of the aforementioned bands, you might have found one of your favorite new ones.
Here’s what the band’s drummer Jimmy Wooten says about the song:
“Take Away is about entering into a sort of relationship with someone or some people that end up letting you down and the anger you feel when you should have known better because the signs were there. That moment when you’re so angry at yourself for not listening to your instincts and allowing the inevitable to happen when you could have avoided the situation completely.”
Pride Comes Before the Fall is available now, and can be purchased here.
