Metalheads living in (or looking to move to) the California Bay Area rejoice, the University of California Berkeley has one hell of an event. Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield will be leading an all-star team of panelists discussing why the Bay Area is a great place to live. The lineup includes: Les Claypool of Primus, Green Day’s Billy Joe Armstrong, CEO and Chairman of Salesforce, Marc Benioff, actor Peter Coyote, and filmmaker Jonathan Parker. Not to mention- Lars’ own father, Torben will be there!
The event’s happening Wednesday, March 2nd in Zellerbach Hall. It’s an hour and a half long, starting at 7pm. While it’s an amazing concept, and we’d love to pack our bags and go- it (and the sweet after party they planned) is only open to Berkeley students. So if you’re a UC Berkeley student reading this- you literally have no excuse not to go. Tickets are $5.
While it blows the public can’t attend, it is a creative way to show the success coming from the Bay Area.
So if you are a lucky UC student, you can buy your ticket here.
