The split between Immortal and its onetime frontman, Abbath, seemed a little strange, with the frontman saying he felt forced to leave the band. He stated that the band stopped paying for their share of the rehearsal space, which he took to mean they’d quit. However, Demonaz and Horgh have stated that wasn’t the truth, and they’d give their side of the story. Today, via their Facebook page, they did that, posting a lengthy statement. Short version of the story: it’s Abbath’s fault, he needed rehab and he went behind the band’s back to try to get sole possession of the band’s name. They found out, and he went solo.
