While Lamb of God might not be playing any more shows in Europe for the remainder of the year, there’s some pretty exciting news on the home front. Their previously-announced monthlong tour that begins in January with Anthrax has announced it’s openers, and while it might not excite your typical mainstream metal fan, it’ll probably convince some that might not have otherwise been interested to pony up. Deafheaven and Austin’s Dallas’ Power Trip have been added to the tour, which kicks off on January 15th. Granted, with Deafheaven opening, they’ll probably only get to play two songs or so, but they’ve really transformed from a two-person project to a great live band. Power Trip, on the other hand, have always been a great live band, and their brand of crossover punk/thrash should excite fans of both Anthrax and Lamb of God.
