Ghost has a new album coming titled Meliora scheduled to be out on August 21st via Loma Vista Records and just like every new record announcement, we also had a tour announcement across North America and the band did a particular ad highlighting Philadelphia’s date on September 26th. We later found out the date coincided with Pope Francis’ visit to the city, making it a Pope-off between Papa Emeritus III and Francis.

Sadly, we have news that Pope Francis was the winner of the battle, as the band was forced to push their scheduled show to September 29th, due to transportation and security issues during Francis’ visit and the band made the announcement in a clever video which you can find below.

Catch the band during the rest of the trek listed below, including their small acoustic tour and let’s hope Ghost can win the war against the church during the next battle:

Black Metal enthusiast from Los Angeles who thought was a good idea to grab a camera and shoot underground shows for the hell of it. Pseudo-writer with little to no expectations of ever winning a Pulitzer but totally down to write about your unknown band if it's good to my ears. I enjoy long walks on the beach, deep conversation, holding hands and attending Satanic music shows every now and then.
