Portland indie rockers Icarus The Owl are gearing up for the arrival of their new album Rearm Circuits, which will be released on December 1st via Blue Swan Records. It will be their second album under the label since signing with them back in 2015. Today (17th), we are lucky to premiere their melodic second single, “Dream Shade.” For those who need a break from blistering metal beats, this song is the perfect rhythmic escape. The track is emotionally haunting and disturbing as it showcases our bleak reality about those who suffer from different forms of abuse.

Guitarist/lead vocalist Joey Rubenstein explained:

“This song is about the many forms that abuse can take. Despite its destructive and malignant affects, we pass it off as normal everyday behavior. We focused on neglect and broken homes for the video.”
