Metallica started the 2024 leg of their M72 tour yesterday (24th) at Olympiastadion in Munich, Germany, supporting their latest album, 72 Seasons. The tour features two-night, no-repeat shows on a ring-shaped stage with a central Snake Pit and four drum sets.
In Munich, they opened with “Whiplash” and played hits like “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” “Fade To Black,” “Nothing Else Matters,” and “Master Of Puppets,” along with three tracks from 72 Seasons: “Lux Æterna,” “Too Far Gone?,” and “Shadows Follow.” The show completed despite the heavy rain fall, seen in the below video.
