They’ve just gotten their first ever top 10 album in the US with Redeemer of Souls, and announced that they’d be embarking on a North American tour this October. Now Judas Priest are adding another 11 dates to flesh out some gaps in the tour, including Pittsburgh, Denver, and three more in Texas.
We recently got a chance to sit down and speak with the band about the album and their plans last week. They said they didn’t plan on to be doing big world tours like they used to, but this has become quite the extensive US tour.
“I think we got rejuvenated doing the album, we got re-enthused, more motivated, and it made us want to go out and do some more dates. That doesn’t mean to say we’ll do a schlep all around the world for two years, it takes a big chunk out of your life and we’re probably gonna be more selective about the dates that we do.” – Glenn Tipton
Tickets and merchandise bundles are available for pre-sale for most dates now on their website, and will become available for the general public Friday, July 18that 10:00am local time. Priest will be joined by special guests Steel Panther.
