Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

Remember how last week we didn’t have much in the way of debuts besides that one Stryper album and Melvins? Well, there’s even less this time considering our top debut is….Get Scared? Guess there’s gotta be something to write about before we have numbers for Five Finger Death Punch, right? Take a gander.

Get Scared, Everyone’s Out To Get Me (Fearless) #137, 3,000 sold

This is the second album from the Utah post-hardcore act.

 

Living Sacrifice, Ghost Thief (Solid State) 1,675 sold

This Christian metal acts releases album number eight.

 

Weekend Nachos, Still (Relapse) 340 sold

The band with a name that makes you crave anything with melted cheese (or maybe that’s just me) debuts.

 

Devour The Day, Good Man EP (Fat Lady) 320 sold

This EP gets a start while the band will be supporting In This Moment in the new year.

 

Notable Sales:

Avenged Sevenfold, Hail To The King (Warner Bros.) #49, 6,900 sold

Looks like  this isn’t going anywhere for a while with over 320,000 sold.

 

Lamb of God, As the Palaces Burn 10th Anniversary Edition  (Prosthetic/Razor & Tie) #64, 6,450 sold

Last week, this sold 61 copies. It sold a few more this time around. This is technically the biggest metal debut of the week. While the album’s sold 269,000 copies to date, this might be the first time it’s charted on the Billboard 200.

 

Linkin Park, Recharged (Warner Bros.) #69, 5,425 sold

A 49% drop this week.

 

Five Finger Death Punch, The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell Vol. 1 (Prospect Park) #80, 4,950 sold

This gets an 18% boost this week thanks to Vol. 2’s release this past Tuesday.

 

Korn, The Paradigm Shift (Prospect Park) #100, 4,300 sold

This shifts down a bit with a 25% drop.

 

Stryper, No More Hell To Pay, (Frontiers) #101, 4,300 sold

A second week 55% drop for this one, which is way respectable considering how high it debuted last week.

 

Nine Inch Nails, Hesitation Marks (Columbia) #147, 2,900 sold

In case you missed it, Trent Reznor stirred up some feels at a recent show.

 

Seether, Seether 2002-2013 (Wind-Up) #158, 2,675 sold

A drop of 42% this week.

 

Skillet, Rise (Atlantic), #181, 2,300 sold

Over 180,000 sold thus far.

 

Metallica, Through The Never (Blackened) #192, 2,175 sold

Over 60,000 sold in total, which is a solid tally for a live album.

 

Volbeat, Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies (Universal/Republic) #194, 2,150 sold

This is over 145,000 sold and is getting a lot of end of year nods.

 

Our Last Night, Oak Island EP (Self-Released) 710 sold

A second week 74% drop.

 

Melvins, Tres Cabrones (Ipecac) 710 sold

This also gets a second week drop of 57%.

 

Glass Cloud, Perfect War Forever (Equal Vision) 610 sold

A big 41% boost this week.

 

Russian Circles, Memorial (Sargent House) #125, 580 sold

A drop of 34%.

 

Erra, Augment (Tragic Hero) 550 sold

A slight drop of 10% this week.

 

Kill Devil Hill, Revolution Rise (Century Media) 520 sold

A 35% drop isn’t exactly killing it.

 

Scar The Martyr, Scar The Martyr (Roadrunner) 470 sold

This gets a tiny boost of 6% thanks to a bit of tour magic.

 

Kataklysm, Waiting For The End To Come (Nuclear Blast) 410 sold

A drop of 51% could be kataklysmic.

 

Toxic Holocaust, Chemistry of Consciousness (Relapse) 390 sold

This guys are currently touring with Ramming Speed and In Defence.

 

Diamond Plate, Pulse (Earache) 370 sold

A small boost of 7% shows this still have a pulse.

 

Gemini Syndrome, Lux (Warner Bros.) 630 sold

At week 10, this has sold over 8,400 in total.

 

Eyes Set To Kill, Masks (Century Media) 380 sold

A boost of 15% thanks to the tour with Kill Devil Hill.

 

Thy Art Is Murder, Hate (Nuclear Blast) 350 sold

The band’s November/December  tour has made this pop up again.

 

Fates Warning, Darkness In a Different Light (Inside Out) 350 sold

The band’s current tour might boost sales up some.

 

Warbringer, IV: Empires Collapse (Century Media) 340 sold

These guys are finishing up a tour with Kreator and Overkill.

 

Dayshell, Dayshell (Sumerian) 340 sold

A small boost of 5% this week.

 

Fit For A King, Creation/Destruction (Solid State) 330 sold

A royal drop of 55% as this crosses the 15,000 mark.

 

Pelican, Forever Becoming (Southern Lord) 320 sold

Over 4,000 sold in total.

 

Deafheaven, Sunbather (Deathwish) 300 sold

Looks like some people decided to grab this much lauded album before year’s end.

 

Righteous Vendetta, The Fire Inside (EBM) 300 sold

The band’s current tour might give this some numbers.

 

Crown The Empire, The Fallout (Rise) 290 sold

This makes a return with just under 40,000 sold.
