With At the Gates finally deciding to make a new album, now seems about as good a time as ever to revisit their finest hour (or 34:58, if you will). The band’s last album before a long breakup, 1995’s Slaughter of the Soul pretty much summed up the Gothenberg melodic death metal scene and influenced countless other bands in the process. When the album was reissued in 2006 on Earache Records, it included a 35-minute film about the making of the album. With the band currently holed up in the studio for album #5, they’ve released the full film to give you an opportunity to get a look at their creative process at a genre-defining album.
