W.A.S.P. and Blackie Lawless have come a long way from the “Animal (Fuck Like A Beast)” days. In fact, Lawless has found Jesus. And if you weren’t convinced, then you haven’t heard the title track to Golgotha, which features the chorus “Jesus I need you now.” Named after the hill where he was crucified, the band have released a video for the song. Shot from the perspective of the other two the lord was crucified with, the lyric video for the song, which Metal Underground premiered today, is insane. The only way we can describe it is that it’s like The Passion of the Christ as a karaoke video. The song itself is really solid, ranking with anything the band’s put out in recent years, though.
Golgotha is out now on Napalm Records, and can be purchased here.
