A few months ago, we were psyched to bring you a video premiere from a new band, Oath. The band, which features Frank Fanelli, who previously sang for The World We Knew, is a rock-solid combination of thrash and metalcore, with some melody. Now that the New York and Connecticut-based band have lined up their first show, at the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest on April 19th, we’re proud to bring you the premiere of their second video “Sorrow Society.” Here’s what the band had to say about the song:

“We wrote this song about how when you turn on the TV, or open up a newspaper in America, you’re constantly subjected to a barrage of violence, plague, war, death, and hatred. This is shoved down our throats throughout the media every single day by the people that the public seem to idolize. However, no one is satisfied until they’re able to spew their own opinions on the matter, which ultimately just creates a chain reaction of more conflict and judgement.”

We’ll be checking out their show at the Metalfest on April 19th, but if you’re not going, you can find out the latest on the band via their Facebook page.
